About Us » News

As you are all aware we are living in unprecedented times with restrictions being placed via national and state/territory leaders to minimise the spread of Coronavirus.

For Bike Logistics, it's currently business as usual.  Our drivers have minimal physical or close contact with customers and as a transport and logistics company we are considered to be an essential service.  Our drivers have been provided with strict protocols in terms of distancing and vehicles are fitted out with hand sanitiser which drivers are using before and after dealing with customers and handling motorcycles.

For the moment it's business as usual however there may be delays on motorcycles travelling in/out of WA and we remain to see whether we will have any trucks travelling in/out of Tasmania.  As you are all aware, these are unprecedented times and we are doing the best we can under difficult circumstances.  We are all flying by the seat of our pants and appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through the various government restrictions.

In the meantime, it's business as usual.  We are facing staffing shortages but are working behind the scenes to establish work from home practices.  Our preferred means of communication at the moment is email however you can still contact us during business hours via phone.  Please be patient as we may have wait times that are outside of normal for us.

Sending all our customers all the best and much health during these times.

Due to high demand on the Optus network we are unable to receive incoming calls at the moment.  You can call our office directly on 03 9303 9499 or 9308 6266 or email us at with your request or name and phone number and we will call you back (yes we can call out!).  Thank you and our apologies.

As all Australians are acutely aware, our country is currently in the midst of one of the most challenging times in our history.  We currently have road closures throughout NSW, Eastern Victoria and between South Australia and Western Australia.  This has a significant impact on the transport and logistics industry and as such we are facing delays.  Vehicles are still moving but there will be delays in some areas.  As everyone can appreciate the safety of drivers, motorcycles and our vehicles is our main priority and as such where decisions are made to not move trucks they are made with safety as a priority.  While in some areas trucks may be moving there's still significant safety concerns posed by smoke, ash and low visibility.  We request our customers to remain understanding of the situation at hand and to please rest assured that we are doing everything we can to ensure motorcycles are delivered as soon as possible and in the condition they were received.

We are however facing an unprecedented situation and we are doing our best in the office to answer the high influx of calls and emails.  We request that people remain patient with us and we welcome you to contact us and remain in communication in relation to your transport.  We have customers where we have their motorcycles but they no longer have a home for us to deliver.  This is a very sobering situation for many people.  We thank you for your patience.  The Bike Logistics team.

The Bike Logistics team will be taking a well earned break from midday on 24/12/19 and will be returning on 3/1/20.  But while we won't be available to take calls in the office during this period, we will be periodically checking emails and quotes.  So please send through all enquiries to or go onto our website and pop in an online quote -  We wish all our customers a happy Christmas and a safe and joyous New Year!  We would like to thank you all for your support in 2019 and we look forward to a wonderful 2020!

It's only 1 month to Christmas but technically only 3 runs left interstate for the year.  Please note that we may not be able to transport bikes long distances before Christmas but we will aim to at least collect motorcycle and have them in transit with delivery in early January.  To avoid disappointment we suggest that you check for next available dates prior to booking.  We currently have a lead time of 5-14 days on many locations.  Please call our team on 1300 45 54 64 for more information!

With it heading into summer and Moto GP only weeks away, our schedules are filling up very quickly.  We encourage customers to please check availability and dates before placing bookings in order to avoid disappointment. Please call or email us for updates.  Please also remember that while we can give you next available schedules via email or phone, these aren't held spots, so unless you book and pay immediately they are subject to change!  Moral of the story....get in quick!

End of Financial Year (EOFY) is rapidly approaching and this means dealer specials, EOFY roll outs and lots of customers needing to transport their new toys!  As with previous news items, we encourage customers to call our office on 1300 45 54 64 or email to confirm current transit times and estimated transport dates.  Namely on the east coast we are looking at least 1 week from booking for next collection and transport from Melbourne to Perth or Perth to Melbourne is estimated at 12-15 business days depot to depot.  Please note that transit times are estimates so if you need your motorcycle to arrive by a certain date please advise our office prior to booking so we can try and help.  They are estimates so we can never guarantee dates (anything can happen in logistics!) however we do our best wherever possible and the more notice you provide us and communication you have with us the better!

We strongly encourage our customers to please call and check transport dates with our office on 1300 45 54 64 to avoid disappointment.  We are generally booked out 1-2 weeks in advance at this time of year so please call our office for next available dates before booking.  Thank you

With Easter and ANZAC day public holidays fast approaching, we want to remind our customers that this will cause some delays particularly into and out of Perth.  We are still clearing backlogs from the cyclone in northern WA last month and we should see these all cleared within the coming 2 weeks.  We apologise to our customers for any delays.  Please call the office if you would like an update on your motorcycle specifically.  Thank you

Due to road closures and high risk areas, particularly in Northern WA and NT we have some delays for all bikes traveling to/from these areas.  This will add an estimated 5-7 business days on all transport at this stage.  Any delays into and out of Perth have now been cleared.

We will continue to post updates here or we welcome our customers to call or email us for individual updates.  Thank you

In this day and age of BikeSales, Ebay and Gumtree we know how easy it is to find the bike you've been searching for interstate but the heartache associated with handing over your hard earned money for a motorcycle that you haven't seen!

Given this, we offer a secure payment handover service where we receive the identifying details of the motorbike and you send us a cheque made out to the seller for the total amount.  We go to the pickup location and make sure we have the correct motorcycle and handover the cheque in exchange for the motorcycle.  Unfortunately this can't be offered in every state but we can accommodate this service in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and Tasmania. Please call our friendly team to discuss options and costs on 1300 45 54 64.
